Markyate’s May Fair

The village of Markyate  has an annual May Fair with a parade and May Queen. This is the second year IHCC has had a stall there and to took the format of ‘Grab a Bag’. Child players pay £1 to use a grabber to picks up a gift bag and retrieve their prize. With all the prizes donated the stall is a really money spinner for IHCC and the child wins a super prises with every turn to!

This year the wind was very strong and whipped across the field, unfortunately the gazebo blew away but undeterred we carried on until rain stopped play. We still managed to raise over £100, let’s hope next year’s weather will be kinder to us.
